National Science Foundation (NSF)
George E. Brown, Jr. Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation Research (NEESR) Solicitation:NSF 09-524
The anticipated funding amount is $7,000,000 for 8–14 standard or continuing grant awards. Full proposals are due on March 26, 2010 and annually thereafter on the fourth Friday in March.
Building Engineered Complex Systems (BECS) Solicitation:NSF 09-610
The anticipated funding amount is $4,000,000 for 12–20 standard or continuing grant awards. The submission window is December 14, 2009–January 19, 2010.
Interdisciplinary Research (IDR) Solicitation: PD 09-7951
The anticipated total award size will be $400,000–600,000 for up to three years. Full proposals are due on December 7, 2009.
Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation 2010 (EFRI-2010) Solicitation: NSF 09-606
The anticipated funding amount is $29,000,000 in FY 2010 for 14 (4-year) standard grant awards. Full proposals are due on March 31, 2010.
Engineering Research Centers (ERC) Partnerships in Transforming Research, Education and Technology Solicitation: NSF 09-545
Approximately $13,000,000 is expected to be available to support at least two and up to four new Gen-3 ERCs in the Fall of 2010. Full proposals are due on January 12, 2010.

United States Geological Survey (USGS)
External Research Support USGS will award up to $7 million in grants and cooperative agreements for earthquake research in 2010. Applications are due May 13, 2009.
